Why we created Oordhy

As per NHTSA's Unedited Summary of School Bus Report, Over the past 11 years, school buses annually have averaged about 26,000 crashes resulting in 10 deaths - 25 percent were drivers; 75 percent were passengers. Frontal crashes account for about two passenger deaths each year.

6-year-old dies after being left behind on Dubai school bus

A six-year-old Indian boy died after he was forgotten in a bus for several hours in Dubai on Saturday. The child, identified as Mohamed Farhan Faisal from the south Indian state of Kerala, was a pupil at an Islamic centre in Al Quoz. According to family sources, he had dozed off after boarding the bus from Karama. He was left behind after all the other students disembarked outside the centre at 8am.

Child dies, another seriously injured in Quebec after school bus hits truck

Quebec provincial police say a five-year-old boy has died and a 10-year-old boy was seriously injured after a collision between a school bus and a truck in Lyster, Que., on Tuesday.

Police said on Wednesday afternoon that the 10-year old boy's condition had stabilized in hospital and they no longer fear for his life.
