2. Location Information

2.1 Driver Location Tracking

When a driver starts an active school bus trip in Oordhy, the application starts a location-tracking service.

During the active trip, the driver's device periodically obtains GPS location information and sends the location information to the Oordhy server so that authorized users can receive current bus location information.

The driver's location may continue to be collected and transmitted while the Oordhy application is running in the background.

2.2 Background Location

Oordhy uses Android background location functionality because the driver's location needs to continue being updated while the driver is travelling and the Oordhy application is not visible on the screen.

Background location tracking may continue when:

• The Oordhy application is minimized.
• The driver is using another application.
• The device screen is locked.
• The Oordhy tracking service is running in the background.

2.3 When Background Tracking Stops

Background location tracking is associated with the active school bus trip.

When the driver selects the option to stop the active trip in the Oordhy application, Oordhy stops the active tracking service and stops sending the driver's current location for that trip.

2.6 Who Can Access Location Information

Driver location information is not intended to be publicly available.

Depending on the user's role and authorization, location information may be accessible to:

• The parent or guardian associated with the relevant student.
• Authorized school administrators.
• Authorized transportation personnel.
• Authorized users of the Oordhy transportation system.

Access to location information is controlled through the Oordhy account and authorization system.

3. Camera Information

Oordhy may request access to the device camera when a feature requires capturing or scanning an image, document, QR code, identification information, or other transportation-related information.

Camera access is used only when a camera-dependent feature is initiated or required.

Oordhy does not intentionally use the camera for unrelated background surveillance.

Oordhy may request permission to make phone calls when the application provides a calling feature.

This functionality may allow an authorized user to contact a driver, school, transportation administrator, or other relevant contact using the device's normal telephone functionality.

Oordhy does not record telephone conversations made through the device's normal phone functionality.

Users can manage notification permissions through Android device settings, subject to Android system restrictions.

7. Foreground and Background Services

Oordhy may use Android foreground services to maintain continuous location tracking during an active school bus trip.

This is necessary because the driver's device may need to continue sending GPS location information while the Oordhy application is not visible on the screen.

Oordhy may also use Android wake-lock functionality when necessary to help maintain an active tracking service and prevent the device from entering a state that could interrupt location updates.

8. Device Startup

Oordhy may receive a notification from Android when the device starts up where required to initialize or restore applicable application services.

This functionality is intended to support reliable operation of transportation-related features.

Depending on the user's role, Oordhy may process information related to:

18. User Control of Permissions

Users can manage Android permissions through their device settings.

Depending on the Android version and device, users may be able to grant, deny, or revoke permissions including:

Revoking a permission required by a particular feature may prevent that feature from functioning correctly.

Because Oordhy is designed for school transportation, schools and educational institutions may use the App to manage transportation information relating to students.

Schools and authorized organizations using Oordhy are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate authority and permissions to provide student information to the service and to use the service for their transportation operations.
